How are your employees screened?
The following process occurs
before hiring an employee: an in person interview is given,
then a potential employee must attend an in-service given
by the Director of Nurses, next their employment history is
evaluated (including work references), we then process the
applicant through Jefferson City, where the Missouri Dept.
of Health checks further to make sure there is no criminal
record, and that their name does not appear on the EDL (Employment
Disqualification List). The final step before sending the
caregiver into the field is bonding the employee. |

3. |
How quickly can we receive help in our home?
First, the Director of Nurses
will make a visit (free of charge) to the potential client’s
home for an assessment. After this visit, a work order is
written up which includes the type of care to be received
in the home. We can normally staff an hourly case by the next
day. If live-in service is needed, this may take 1-2 days. |

What happens if a caregiver does not show up for work, or
calls in sick?
Once the office staff is
notified, we immediately begin calling on a pool of caregivers
in order to find a replacement. From the beginning, we recommend
that the client accept more than one caregiver so that there
is someone else (familiar with the client) in case of emergency.
The office is able to be contacted 24 hours a day, 7 days
a week. |

Do we have
to sign a contract in order to receive service?
No, all of our staffing
is done on a weekly basis. You will be called weekly to confirm
service for the upcoming week. Actually, service may be cancelled
at the end of any day. |

7. |
Is a company representative available 24 hours a day?
Yes, after office hours
there is an on-call person available to assist you with any
of your needs. The company (director of nursing) is also just a phone call away. |

8. |
If a caregiver is not meeting my expectations,
how soon should I inform the office?
Although we try very hard
to send the right person, occasionally we may have to send
several caregivers to the home before the perfect match is
made. If you are not satisfied with your caregiver, we ask
that you contact us as soon as possible. This will give us
sufficient time to look for a replacement. |

9. |
Do you service clients on the weekend, and if so is there
any additional charge?
Yes, we do staff on the
weekends. There is no extra charge for weekend service, as
long as you receive service during the week. If you only require
weekend service, we do bill that at an increased rate. |
